White Peony has a subtle taste, think of almond paste, nuts and vanilla. The tea has a delicate lingering fragrance and a fresh soft sweet taste with no astringent reaction or grassy taste with a clear infusion and a fruity character. When brewed, you can smell a very mild floral, peony aroma. Bai Mu Dan tastes like fruitier and darker than Silver Needle, but not as strong as Shou Mei.
