Zang Ja, Dark Tea, post-fermented tea from Samcholing, Bhutan.
Bhutan, the last kingdom in the Himalayas. The tea fields from which this tea comes are located near the summer palace of the second king and were originally planted in the 1950s. A collective of 34 women now run the farm, picking the tea by hand. This Post-fermented tea Himalayan style is locally used for "milk or butter tea" aka Suja. A mild velvety tea, pleasantly woody, fresh.
