Giddapahar SFTGFOP 1 CL TPY 2nd flush Darjeeling, from Kurseong, Darjeeling, India. A balanced aromatic sultry yet very tight tea with lots of muscatel.
Giddapahar India Second Flush Tea SFTGFOP 1 CH is a high quality Darjeeling tea with a unique, rich and complex profile. It has notes of muscat grapes, ripe pears and flowers, complemented by subtle undertones of toasted grains and a light sweetness. Here are some food combinations that go well with this tea:
Breakfast dishes: The complexity and sweetness of this tea pair well with savory breakfast dishes such as an omelette with herbs, cheese and vegetables, or toast with avocado.
Mild Indian dishes: Try this tea with mildly spiced Indian dishes such as biryani, chicken tikka masala, or paneer curry. The spicy flavors of the dishes will contrast nicely with the sweet and fruity notes of the tea.
Cheese board: The fruity character of the tea goes well with a selection of soft cheeses such as Brie, Camembert, or even blue cheese. Add some fruit to the cheese board, such as grapes and pears, to complement it.
Desserts: The tea can also serve as a dessert wine. Try it with desserts that have a fruity or creamy character, such as pear pie, apple pie or vanilla ice cream.
Light salads: The tea can also be a delicious addition to light summer salads, especially those with fruits such as pears or apples.
Seafood: Grilled shrimp or light seafood dishes go well with this tea, as the salty, seafood flavors provide a nice balance with the sweetness and complexity of the tea.
It's important to keep in mind that tea and food pairings can be subjective and vary based on individual taste preferences. It's always a good idea to experiment and see which combinations you like best.
