Red Jade TTES18, also called Hong Yu or Ruby tea, originated from Yuchi, Nantou, Taiwan, the hills (500 - 700m) around "Sun Moon Lake".
This tea was picked and processed by hand in the early spring of 2022. This tea is a cross between the Assamica variety from Burma and local wild tea, the Camellia Formosensis. The tea has the full malty character of an Assam tea and with exuberant flavors and scents of wild plums, honey and cinnamon, with a fresh eucalyptus / camphor aftertaste. The tea is concentrated, very generous and should be re-poured very often.
